Conference: CLA YSIG: The Youth Services Summit

Posted by

The deadline for proposal submissions has been extended to January 29th!

There is a dire need for community, joy, and hope in a fraught time of book and display challenges, burnout, and political stress.  More than anything, youth and teen library workers need to know that they are not alone in the struggle to support young readers.  The Youth Services Summit: Empowering Youth, Empowering You!  will address ways to overcome these challenges, hoping that attendees leave feeling invigorated, refreshed and empowered.

The Youth Services Interest Group of the California Library Association invites all children’s, teens, and school library staff serving youth, ages 0-18, to submit a proposal for a two-day conference at the Huntington Beach Library in Huntington Beach, CA on April 25th-26th, 2024.

We invite proposals from library staff who work in a public library or a school setting, and have a passion for library youth services.  We can’t do it alone!  How are you empowering your youth, your library, and your community?  How can we unite to rebuild trust and hope in and for our community?

🗓️ Submission deadline: January 29th, 2024
