If you have a Teen Space at your library that you’d like to share, please email us.
What we’re looking for are pictures and commentary.
Take pictures of your teen space. Please provide at least 3 images, but no more than 20 total. Highlight specific aspects that you’re proud of and/or areas you would want to improve. Please follow your Library’s photography policy with regards to people (specifically minors) in your photos. We would love to see teens using the space but understand if that isn’t possible with regards to your specific policy.
Has your space been changed recently and you can provide the before and after? Go for it! Tell us about the change.
Tell us about how effective your space is and what teens like/hate about it, how they use it, creative/unintentional uses, etc..
Feel free to get into the nitty-gritty:
Do you love/hate your power outlets?
Is the lighting the best or the worst?
More computers? More shelves? Less of anything?
Tell us about dream furniture/equipment that you’d love for your teen space.
Submission Requirements: The website portion of your submission will be written as a post, so if you are going to reference specific pictures with your comments/commentary, please put the name of the picture file BEFORE the paragraph relating to that picture. That way we can make sure the words stay with the images. We will also spotlight images and a summary commentary on our Instagram account. Only 10 images can be used on Instagram, so please let us know if you have a preference to which 10 are featured. If you’d like to write the summary commentary used for the Instagram post yourself, feel free to submit that as well.
Send all of this to bayalibrarian @ gmail.com.
