Parking: There is a parking garage located directly behind the library (between B and C Streets), which is free parking for up to 4 hours. The parking garage has an entrance on Mission St. as well as on Watkins St. The garage normally has spots open in the morning, but there is also additional free street parking on Watkins St and B Street.
Public Transit: The library is 0.2 miles (approximately a 5 min walk) from the Hayward BART Station. There are several AC Transit bus lines that pick up/drop off near the library depending on where you are coming from.
HOW TO ENTER THE BUILDING: BAYA Members will enter through the entrance located beside the municipal parking garage. Attached you will find a map of the library; the red arrow indicates the library entrance doors. This will be the only way to access the library, as we are closed to the public until 11 a.m. Ari or another staff member will be at the door to let you into the building from 9 am to 9:30 am. If you arrive after the start of the meeting at 9:30 am (or if you need to enter prior to 9 am), please text Ari to be let into the building. Please note that although Hippie’s Brew, the cafe attached to the library, will be open, it is NOT a library entrance and you will not be able to get into the library through the cafe. The meeting will be held in the Fremont Bank Foundation Community Room, located on the 2nd Floor.
